This notice explains how Slackline Factory handles personal information when you browse our website, shop with us, create an account or contact our workshop.

WordPress.com hosting
Our hosting provider is WordPress.com, a service of Automattic. Delivering and protecting the website involves processing technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, request times, browser information and error or security logs. This enables the host to deliver pages, diagnose problems and prevent misuse.
Our legal basis for operating and protecting the website is our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Automattic and its service providers process information needed for hosting and security. Automattic also describes processing for its own purposes in its privacy notice for website visitors.
WordPress.com uses infrastructure in the EU and other countries, including the United States. Processing is not restricted to Austria or the EU. Information about recipients and international-transfer safeguards is available in Automattic’s privacy policy; the applicable hosting agreement and data-processing terms must also be considered.
Shopping and customer accounts
When you order, we process the contact, billing and delivery details you provide, the products you select, order correspondence and payment-status information to fulfil your purchase and provide support. If you create an account, we also process your account details and order history to provide that account. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Details needed to complete an order are required for that service.
Card payments and supported digital wallets are processed through WooPayments, which works with Stripe. Payment processing involves sharing the transaction amount, billing and contact information and technical information needed to complete and protect the payment. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we receive payment-status and transaction information. See Automattic’s privacy policy and Stripe’s privacy policy.
Delivery providers receive the recipient’s name, delivery address and, where needed, contact and shipment information to deliver your order. We may also disclose records where required by law, including to tax authorities and professional advisers.
Necessary cookies
WooCommerce uses cookies to keep your requested shopping cart working. WordPress uses authentication cookies when you sign in. These cookies support the shopping and account functions you choose to use.
- woocommerce_cart_hash detects changes to your cart. Usual duration: the browser session.
- woocommerce_items_in_cart records whether your cart contains items. Usual duration: the browser session.
- wp_woocommerce_session_* links your browser to its cart data. Default duration: two days.
- wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* support sign-in and authentication. Their duration depends on the login and Remember me settings.
Payment services may also use cookies and technical device information to provide payment functionality and prevent fraud. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings, but the cart, payment or sign-in may then stop working. Statistics and optional tracking
The website uses WordPress.com / Jetpack Stats to understand visits and popular pages. Automattic’s documented processing includes IP addresses, browser information, visited and referring URLs, event times, browser language and country. Information about a WordPress.com account may also be processed when a visitor is signed in. The reports shown to us provide traffic statistics rather than visitors’ IP addresses. WooCommerce order-attribution tracking and optional WooCommerce usage telemetry are disabled in this storefront configuration.
Enquiries and email
Our enquiry links open your email application; nothing is sent until you send the message. We use your email address, any name you provide, your message and attachments to respond to course, product and workshop enquiries. Our mailbox uses Microsoft’s Outlook service.
For enquiries about a purchase or booking, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other correspondence, it is our legitimate interest in responding, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Microsoft processes messages to provide the email service; see Microsoft’s privacy statement.
How long information is kept
Order and accounting records are retained for the applicable statutory periods under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, and longer where a pending claim or legal obligation requires this. Account information is kept while needed to provide the account; deleting an account does not remove records we are legally required to retain.
Enquiry correspondence is kept while needed to handle the enquiry, resulting service or related claim, subject to any legal retention duty. The shop does not currently have an automatic account or order-deletion schedule configured. Requests for erasure are handled subject to applicable record-keeping duties. Hosting and security logs follow the host’s operational and security retention arrangements described in the linked provider notices.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it with effect for the future.

Payment providers may use automated fraud-prevention checks as described in their privacy notices. We will update this notice when the site’s services or data handling change.
